       Bottom Sampler also named Bottom Sampling Thief, Laboratory Bottom Beaker, is used to collect samples at the bottom of the tanker.

       In operation, the sampler remains empty as it is lowered into the liquid, until the leg contacts a solid surface (usually the bottom of the tank).  The valve at the bottom of the sampler opens, and the sampler fills. As the sampler is lifted, the valve re-seals, ensuring that the sample is retained and not diluted on its way up through the liquid.  The sampler therefore obtains true bottom samples. 

       For taking samples at chosen depth of tank, Lower the sampler to chosen depth of the tank with one sampling rope, then lift bottom valve of sampler with second sampling rope, sample then fills into sampler, then release the second sampling rope the valve re-seals.
